Let me tell you a little something about myself…

What you might notice is what seems to be an eclectic career. Deciding what job to pursue has been as key as knowing when to leave a job. I have attempted to follow my passions and in the end each job was a learning experience and launched me into the next phase of my career.

After graduating from the University of Washington with a degree in Communications, I worked in promotions at KISW/FM, KYCW/FM and KMTT/FM in Seattle.

With the rise of technology, a move to the internet was a natural progression - seattle.citysearch.com, ticketmaster.com and Expedia.com. My role evolved from marketing to business development, category management and site optimization. My job at Expedia and my interest in sustainable travel led to a role at the United Nations Foundation's Global Sustainable Tourism Council. I most recently worked in marketing and communications at T-Mobile.

I made time along the way to take a sabbatical to Spain for a language immersion program, consulting in the Balkans, earn my MBA in Sustainable Business, and finally get back to a passion from high school - writing a couple novels.

Each job and educational opportunity led me along a path that might have seemed disjoined at the time. There were missteps along the way as well as revising my definition of my Dream Job. But looking at the big picture, it is clear that keeping my passions and developing interests in front of me and listening to good advice along the way have yielded an incredibly fulfilling life full of joy and discovery.
